Unique wine ideas will come from Russia
Unique wine ideas will come from RussiaPosted on June 07 2010 The wine exhibition in London (LIWF 2010) ended on the 20th of May and was attended by the Russian winemakers this year as well. Based on the feedback of Russian event participants, it is clearly visible that the Old World market is interested in new unique wines, and English public is ready to estimate new discoveries in the wine market which could come from Russia. Such opinions were given by the participants and visitors of an exhibition, manufacturers and importers as well as by wine experts to the representatives of the Asti Group Exhibition company, which conducted a successful PR campaign aimed to market the leaders of the domestic winemaking at the exhibitionThis campaign included the press briefing for the foreign journalists and was followed by the wine tasting of Myskhako from Krasnodar region and Sherg-Ulduzu from Azerbaijan.
The international wine experts were invited to take part in the tasting, among them were Darrell Joseph, Robert Joseph and some others who have already repeatedly visited Russia to attend the exhibition «Drinks Industry / Russian Wine Fair» and were able to appreciate the wines offered to them.Another momentous event took place on the eve of the exhibition opening. On the occasion of its return to the Old World and participation in the LIWF 2010 the Russian Sparkling House Abrau-Djurso organized in the Embassy of the Russian Federation in London a reception with the champagne tasting. The reception was attended by fans and admirers of Russian champagne, as well as prominent representatives of the international wine community. The return proved to be a triumph. Interest in Russian wines is growing, which is confirmed by the awards received by Russian winemakers at the prestigious international wine competition IWSC 2010. Apart from Abrau-Durso the wines of two more Krasnodar manufacturers - ZAO AF Myskhako and OAO Aurora have won in total six bronze medals. It is worth noting a promising for western market production of the family winery Burnier from a village Nadtuhaevsky of the Krasnodar region. The excellent wines were presented by a Swiss winemaker Renaud Burnier, who proudly decorated their stand with a slogan "Wines from Russia". Unfortunately the wines from Burnier winery are so far known only to a small range of Russian experts, and even the professionals of the Russian wine market do not have the opportunity to taste them. Promotion of the Russian products on the foreign markets and bringing into the Russian market of the qualitative foreign goods – these are the main tasks of the Asti Group company. With that end in view Asti Group held the negotiations with the French Agency for international business development UBIFRANCE, the Chamber of Commerce of Croatia, the Hungarian agency of trade and investment ITD Hungary, the Mexican government agency of foreign trade support ProMexico, a Bulgarian company Vinal AD, the Union of Slovak winemakers Vinarska Druzba, the Romanian Union of Wines of Romania and other institutions.
The Asti Group company will make every effort to ensure that the wine experts, specialists, importers, distributors and end users could see and appreciate qualitative wines and beverages from these countries at the forthcoming international exhibition "Drinks Industry / Russian Wine Fair 2010" which will take place from the 18th to the 20th of November in Moscow.
